Aggre-Dry Finishes In The Top 25

GreyStone recently received a significant honor when its Aggre-Dry^® Washer was selected by Aggregates Manager magazine as one of its Top 25 Rollouts for 2008. The magazine puts out the list every year in response to its readers that ask for an annual short list of the best new equipment. To determine which equipment makes the cut, the magazine’s editors sift through hundreds of new products covered during the year and then select 25 they feel serve the best interests of the magazine’s readers and are worthy of further review.

“Our priorities are new concept products—which are rare—new series/new generation products in categories that relate to the aggregates industry, and other rollouts which serve our readers’ interests by increasing competition in a product category,” said the magazine’s Web site.

In the December 2008 issue, the magazine highlighted each Top 25 product with a short paragraph that specifically mentioned some of the key reasons each was chosen. Some of the highlights of the Aggre-Dry Washer include:

• Uses half the horsepower to process the same tonnage of spec product when compared to a traditional screen/cyclone system.
• Produces sand and gravel with a moisture content as low as 8 to 13 percent by weight.
• Reduces the amount of material that can fall through the screen.
• Allows material to build to a bed depth of 14 inches and squeezes out additional moisture as vibrating motors move it along the screen cloth.
